Level II
Course Summary
The Somatic Art Practice® Level 2 Professional Training deepens the principles of the methodology and pedagogy of somatic artmaking.
Following the SAP Introductory training, the Somatic Art Practice® Level 2 Professional Training aims to offer additional tools and deepen:
Somatic Movement Education by Body-Mind Centering®
Arts-based research methodology - for somatic artmaking
Somatic art practice pedagogy - for teaching.
SAP Level 2 is a continuation of the Introductory SAP training (Level 1) and is open only to those who have completed the Introductory SAP Training (Level 1).
During this 12-week course, you will have the opportunity to gain further embodiment tools from the fields/practices of:
Body-Mind Centering®
Fine arts (drawing, sculpture, installation)
Visual arts (Photography, Videodance)
Performance Autoethnography
Site-Specific Performance
The Poetics of Materiality
Ecosomatics
Somatics for Social Justice/The Body Politic
